Service Description

Independent Contracting holds intentional space in independent contracting as an artist, curator, lecturer, facilitator and cultural organizer. Jaee displays and offers space to create community centered material-based installations in public spaces as well as facilitates dialogue-based community circles for storytelling and intergenerational building. Participants are able to learn new skills, build art with others, unpack themselves and explore their inner child. Installations can be activated in environments that include but are not limited to, parties, camps, training/team building, conferences, events, festivals, markets, showcases and exhibitions. Workshops can be facilitated in all aligned spaces that center community learning and exploration. Creative Based Workshops are culturally based including hair braiding, cooking, painting, natural dyeing, clay molding, collective oracle readings, nature artmaking, tea making, herbal blends, bath salts, natural instruments, art walks, ancestor altars, art spiritual hikes and more... All workshops are inquiry based and allow the participant space to build and understand their own intuition while connecting with others through sharing. Workshops are for all age groups and experience levels. Workshops can range from an hour to an all-day program. Installations can be through collaboration with another creator-artist and/or with an organization. Travel: Jaee travels for all work. Installations, workshops and collaborations can be virtual, and in person. Within the U.S and abroad. All work requires an initial introductory meeting via Zoom All local and virtual workshops Fee: $100 Workshop fee Beyond Oakland: starting $300 Installation Fee: Starting at $150, community spaces are negotiable and don't have the financial resources, please be super transparent. I can work with you to figure out a workshop within your budget. Workshops and install fee for major institutions: starting $400 All above prices are contingent on number of days. Above prices are for one day events and workshops. Please include a brief description of your ideal workshop and installation proposal. -------- During our initial meeting, we will discuss your overall vision and strategize on potential ways I can best support you and your work.
